No negotiating meeting has been called in the wage dispute between aircraft mechanics and Icelandair, according to State Mediator Ástráður Haraldsson, who says the dispute centres on wages and how large a pay increase the aircraft mechanics should receive. more

Major increase in 'equalisation seats' proposed

The number of MPs representing Norðausturkjördæmi (Northeast Constituency) would fall by three and the number representing Norðvesturkjördæmi (Northwest Constituency) by one if proposals from a working group reviewing the electoral system are adopted.

Tækniskólinn considering seeking compensation from Hafnarfjörður

It has become clear that the agreement between Hafnarfjörður Municipality and Tækniskólinn for a new school to be built in the town had fallen through after the municipality was unable to provide a site for the school as promised.
