More than one in custody in homicide case

Rakel Björk and Garðar, the married couple behind the duo ÞAU, compose music inspired by historic Icelandic poetry. Married couple Rakel Björk Björnsdóttir and Garðar Borgþórsson formed the musical duo ÞAU a few years ago and have spent the past several summers touring Iceland with their concerts. more

Kos: 'Creative solutions' on fisheries can be found during EU accession talks

Belgian Air Force carries out air policing for second time

Four F-16 fighter jets from the Belgian Air Force and 110 personnel are due to arrive in Iceland as Atlantshafsbandalagið (NATO) begins an air policing deployment. This is the second time Belgium has taken part in the mission.

Books fly off shelves thanks to BookTok

The community of book lovers discussing books on social media is known as BookTok. There are examples of discussions there causing books published decades ago to suddenly fly off the shelves in Icelandic bookshops.
