The Icelandic Coast Guard intercepted the Paul Watson Association's ship, Bandero, last night with assistance from the Special Unit of the National Police Commissioner.
The Paul Watson Association said in a statement that the vessel came into contact with and “intercepted” the whaling ship Hvalur 9.

A tyre on a DC-3 aircraft burst as it landed at Reykjavík Airport, the capital's domestic airport, this afternoon, forcing the airport to close temporarily. Andri Ómarsson, acting press officer for airport operator Isavia, confirmed the news.
It is not known how many passengers were on board. Andri says nobody was injured during the landing. All scheduled flights and general aviation operations are now back to normal.
