S&P Upgrades Iceland’s Economic Outlook to Positive
The credit rating agency S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook on Iceland to positive from stable, while reaffirming the country’s long- and short-term sovereign credit ratings at A+/A-1. Rescue flights for nearly fifty Icelanders

New passenger terminal to be named Vör

A new terminal for cruise ship passengers at Viðeyjarsund in Reykjavík has been given the name Vör.

A statement from Faxaflóahafnir (Associated Icelandic Ports) says that never before have more people taken part in a naming competition in Iceland.

A total of 3.384 people participated, and submitted more than 6.000 suggestions.

Week starts wet for many

Today there will be increasing easterly and south-easterly winds, 10 to 18 m/s in the afternoon.

Rain or sleet can be expected at times, but it will remain mostly dry in Northeast Iceland until the evening.

Later in the afternoon the wind will turn southerly. Winds of 8 to 13 m/s can then be expected with showers and sleet showers, first in the southwest. Temperatures will range from 0 to 6 during the day.
