The main road between Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón has been closed due to severe weather. The closure is expected to remain in effect until the evening. A yellow weather alert is in force for Southeast Iceland until 19:00. Snowfall is occurring in the area, with blowing snow in places, and strong northeasterly winds or gale conditions.

Inflation has fallen to 3.7% and has not been lower since December 2020. It fell from 4.3% last month and has fluctuated around four percent for most of the year.
A reduction in airfares to foreign destinations had the greatest impact on the easing of inflation. They fell by 14.3% between months. Furniture and household equipment costs fell by 2.2% and clothing and footwear by 2.7%.
