Police commissioner indicts online store CEO for alcohol sales

The capital area police commissioner has indicted the CEO of the online store Smáríkið for selling alcohol online.

Four years have passed since the police began their investigation following a complaint by ÁTVR (the State Alcohol and Tobacco Company of Iceland).

Iceland Symphony Orchestra offers open house on Culture Night

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra invites guests and passers-by to two concerts in Eldborg in Harpa, on Culture Night in Reykjavík. The presenter and singer at the concerts is Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson.

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, and on Culture Night the orchestra will "imagine how the orchestra will sound after another 75 years."

Woman remanded in custody over ATM theft

A woman in her thirties was today remanded for four days’ custody at Reykjavík District Court in connection with the capital area police’s investigation of the theft of an ATM in Mosfellsbær on Tuesday. This is stated in a notice from the police.

RÚV reported that the woman had been brought before a judge at midday. Around ISK 20.000.000 were in the ATM which the thieves carried away whole, and the ATM has still not been found.
