A new agreement between Reykjavíkurborg (Reykjavík city) and independently operated primary schools in Reykjavík has been approved by the city council, and all the schools have signed it. The agreement applies retroactively from 1 January 2025. The new agreement, says the city, enables the schools to better maintain their level of service in line with Reykjavík’s education policy.
