Three children arrested for assault in Hafnarfjörður

Three children were arrested in the town for vandalism and assault. Sævar Guðmundsson, chief superintendent at capital area police, says that no one was seriously injured.

“When I was a teenager, it wasn’t very cool to listen to ABBA”

Excitement filled the air in Akureyri over the weekend as guests flocked to Menningarhúsið Hof to hear the country’s top divas perform songs by the legendary band ABBA.

“When I was a teenager, it wasn’t very cool to listen to ABBA. Punk was happening at the same time,” recalls Jón Ólafsson, bandleader of the six-member group that accompanied the tribute concert ABBA – Dancing Queens at Hof.
